Fourth MA photoshop image. Started loading-in a lot of textural effects in this one. I started with four photos that I had taken of a mountain, flower, stained glass window and the flame from a hot air balloon. I then worked in images from the Internet of DaVinci drawings, William Blake paintings and his own death mask; as well as stars and various airbrush and distortion effects. Did two versions to try and explore the impact of variations of colour and texture and how they might effect the composition.

Third MA photoshop image. Started to get back into things with this one. The layers were becoming more numerous and detailed than the first two examples. There wasn't much by way of pre-set generic effects in this one, mainly just using burn, blur, smudge masking and opacity settings over photos I had taken on holidays. I didn't use any royalty free image and only one - the text buried in the sky - was taken from the Internet. The water flowing in the middle ground was created using airbrush and cloning. I think it looks fairly realistic and fits in with the other photo-based source images.

Second MA photoshop image

First MA Photoshop image.
Bit more light-hearted than 'Dirge'. I guess the inner child has to get out every now and again!!!

Dirge with OST (Copyright permitting!!!!)

and here is one without the Biosphere music just in case 'the man' takes the other one down.

Junior Cert drawing exam today. The pupils got through it alright. Some found it hard to concentrate though for an hour and a half for the life drawing. I wonder if the pressure of getting the project completed on time burns some of them out? After the intensity of the last few weeks I anticipate it might be a challenge to keep them focused for the run up to the end of term.
